We have been clients of Just Like Family Home Care since December 2025. Our support worker, Raquel, has been with us almost 6 months, and she is the best caregiver we have had. She is gentle, sensitive, caring, efficient and competent. She responds to all requests with cheerful, patient grace. She is reliable and punctual. We have also appreciated the excellent communication from the Just Like Family Home Care office.

We were having some (multiple) issues with the default government appointed home care company and I was told about Just Like Family by a cousin in Medicine Hat who had nothing but good things to say. I reached out and immediately was contacted by Karen who was great to deal with and provided every bit of info we could ask for. They immediately matched up Candice as a caregiver for my father and she was amazing. Great people skills and went above and beyond to make things easier dealing with my father who has dementia and some other health challenges. Along the way, everyone from Just Like Family (Janelle who also was a great support often and Rick with the billing) made everything clear, easy and a joy to deal with. My only regret is that we ended up getting placement for my father and were only able to give them very short notice to end the services, which they were also very understanding and accommodating for. If my father was still at home, or we ever need services again, I would not hesitate for one second to hire Just Like Family again. -Scott

I worked as a caregiver for Just Like Family Home Care, and I can truly say that Karen and Rick are exceptional—not only in matching caregivers with the right clients, but in the genuine care they show toward their team. They consistently support their caregivers, stand behind you when needed, and sincerely appreciate the work we do. That kind of leadership makes all the difference. Although I have moved on to pursue other ventures, I remain grateful for the experience. Just Like Family is truly one of the best companies to work for—local, compassionate, and true to their name. They really do treat you like family. Karen and Rick, thank you for your kind words and for the beautiful flowers you sent. What a thoughtful and pleasant surprise—it meant so much to me.
