My father moved Ilto the Chateau recently. The experience has been excellent. He felt welcomed from the start. He loves the food especially the sandwiches, fruit, eggs and yogurt. The Chateau caters to different schedules for sleep, home support, etc. My first visit before deciding on the Chateau was late on a Friday afternoon. I was offered a comprehensive tour despite the timing of my visit. This was followed by a video tour with my father who lived in a different city at that time. The management team is always visible and approachable. As a former manager, I appreciate that there is at least one member of the management team on duty 7 days a week ensuring continuous leadership and quality control. The managers step in and cover for absences and help with direct service provision during busy times. The impact of this style shows in terms of respect and morale. All of the members of the staff are engaging and bring positivity to the day.

I responded to an invitation to attend as a guest two events at Longlake Chateau. Both events centered on food and entertainment. First, the Taste of Manhattan lunch and then the Kentucky Derby social event. I was impressed by the tasty, well-presented food served at both functions. The staff were friendly, upbeat, happy and engaged the guests and residents fully. In chatting with a couple who had more recently joined this community, they so positively expressed their happiness about making Longlake their new home.

It’s reassuring to know our great aunt is cared for so well. She enjoys her space and says the food is great. She has made friends very quickly which is fantastic. She also really appreciates the young helpers that come in during the week.
