  They were sent to my home for nursing care when I lost my abilty to go to the bathroom and was set up with nephrostomy tube and eventually catheters. They offered le other supports they deemed me needing as well as offered to assist with all my mobilty equipment as my being sick was taking a toll on my entire health and disabilty. I was nervous about accepting the offers of help due to bad past experiences bit I was told it would not be a problem as my new care coordinator would not let it happen again. It did not take long where I was left with failling catheters, being told I should look into MAID rather than fight for health and independence, they stalled and refused to full paperwork for mobilty devices. They even refused to supply or fill forms for me to get my catheterization equipment forcing me to pay out of pocket. To this day they have refused to set me up or provide le with the information the Drs sent for my continence stuff, forcing me to pay out of pocket for records so other can start the process and fees from the Dr to sign off on stuff (new laws means Drs hand it over to homecare nurses). Worse than refusing to assist me in getting my medical equipment so I can go to the bathroom, worse than refusing to assist with mobilty devices so I can function daily and get to appointments, worse than yelling le to use MAID, is when they stated that in order for me to be able to get all this, I was required to allow their PSWs to undress me and physically wash me (hands on me while nakid), both things i can actually do on my own from a sitting position) or i would not receive any supports what so ever, including my catheters. When I refused to allow them to touch me while nakid (severe past trauma), they canceled all services and started "swatting" me. AKA calling police, my Drs and anybody else they could making claims i was suicidal and putting myself in danger by refusing to accept help. They also went as far as making false claims about weapons in my home. Even after the police and others told them I have a right to not want to be nakid, they continued to send people to attempt sending PSWs (who were unaware i refused those services) and to make calls against me. Thankfully at this time the Drs do not respond anymore. I did ask for an emergency psych appointment that confirmed I am not at risk of self harm or worse and that my only issues are ADD and being sad that my health is failling which is to be expected. My main issue is the added stress in getting the supports needed. The police, who stayed this is equivalent to sexual assault and harrassement no longer respond either but do give notice that complaints were called in. Sadly the police also say this is a civil issue as they cannot charge an entire agency (which isnt true but i also cant force them to). I have made formal complaints, all having been ignored or being told "home care says you are lying and that disnt happen" while not lookingat records, reviewing writting communications or listening to recorded conversations which would easily show and prove that it is home care lying and not me.

  They're supposed to help my mother, some of them are good. Plenty don't know how to even open a door which has been used as a reason for why they'll cancel a visit. They'll leave the door unlocked when leaving, my mother there for hours where anyone could just walk in. With her mobility, she can't check the door or lock it herself. Even the managers don't get back to me about all the things that need fixing with an unsettling amount of employees they have that just don't care. If they weren't necessary, they'd be out of business. Shameful.

  Such a wonderful health care team! Very caring, understanding and extremely helpful to me while coping with elderly parents and illness. They guided me through every step of long term care , provided home care as needed and answered every question with patience and knowledge. Niki (my dad’s nurse) went above and beyond, providing exceptional care. I am extremely grateful of this service! I’m not sure how I would have managed without their support. Bravo to this health care team!! Much love from me and my family.
