  Elena was wonderful. That's the place to start with this review. Finding a new home for my mother has come with many challenges and Elena clearly had a deep and human understanding of the emotional and psychological challenges that come with such a transition. I toured 7 facilities in Calgary, and Elena made me feel more confident than any other facility that my mother's needs would be met and that she would be fully cared for. The facility itself was lovely, and amenities appeared to be top notch. It was, however, the feeling that care and attention would also be given to the emotional, psychological, and social welfare of my mother that gave me the greatest comfort.

  The Scenic Grande is amazing. The staff is awesome. Elena, Carter and Bailey have been outstanding. Deepinder, Cady and Andrea have been so helpful. The dining room is very appealing and fantastic food. It’s where my parents need to be ❤️😃

  While trying to find the perfect assisted living place to move our mother to, our path lead us to Elena from Scenic Grande Retirement Home. We had searched and interviewed with several other retirement facilities, but no other place had brought peace to our heart like Scenic Grande had. We toured the facility with our mother and saw first hand all that this centre had to offer as far as activities and facilities. Heated salt water pool!!! Fitness center with catered directions, a hair salon and many other planned activities, But in the end it was the people we met here that confirmed this was home for our mom. While talking to other residents our hearts grew to see residents happy and content with their surroundings. The deciding factor for us though, was the staff, namely Elana. She held our hand during the entire process, not just our mother’s. And now after three weeks of our mom moving in, we still get calls and texts from her asking how mom was doing and how she and her staff could make living even better for her. We knew our mother was shy and would be hesitant or even afraid to initiate in activities. We knew she would eventually come around, but that was not good enough for Elena. She still texts us weeks after mom’s initial move in to see how she and the staff can assist in allowing mom to live her best life. She arranged to have people from “active living” come and get her from her room to take our mother to activities that she knew she would like. We can not thank and give enough praise to each member of this amazing facility. Each of them have made a hard situation easier and we continue to be blessed as a family because they care from the heart.
