Good things come in small packages!! Our mother frequently says that about herself but it also extends to Village Manor Retirement Living. As a smaller retirement residence it was the the perfect home for Mum to get the support she needed as her dementia progressed. The care team at Village Manor embrace kindness, communication and flexibility in accommodating the support needs of the residents. They were consistently caring, respectful, and valued the role of family as part of the care team. We send out a huge THANK YOU to all staff for the many small and big acts of kindness my Mum experienced each day she was there.

This place has gone downhill. Most of the staff have left and nothing gets done. My moms and other residents room do not get cleaned ever, there is a pile of garbage in her room and there seems to be no soap, or toilet paper for weeks on end. When Zahra was here everything was clean and looked after. The new director seems like she doesn’t care about anything or anyone. The staff that is left are overworked and underpaid. And there is a couple residents that live there that need extra care and they make staff deal with them when they don’t have training in dealing with these types of residents. There is not enough staff to take on these types of residents. This is place is not what it used to be and I’m not happy with my mom living here.

Village Manor is the most welcoming retirement community. Zahra Noorani, the Executive Director, personally welcomes everyone into the space as if it is her own home. She looks out for the wellbeing of all of the residents and is approachable by those living at Village Manor and family members too. Thank you Zahra and Village Manor for creating a beautiful home!
