As a pharmacy that serves allot of the transgender population, they sure were not very sensitive with my partner who came in to get help with a urinary tract infection. The pharmacist told them men have to go see a Dr. (I mean great that they pass but) my partner had to point out that they have female parts. They were so embarrassed and very upset after this which makes me furious! I don’t think you realize how hard even asking for medical help is for trans folks. The worst part is that my partner has a file there. Has gotten testosterone filled there. All you had to do was look at their file. Honestly. And after all that she still refused to give the antibiotics and my partner had to leave work and go to a different pharmacy where fortunately for their health, they were treated with dignity. Victoria has the largest population of gender diverse people in all of Canada, how do you lack this education? DO BETTER!!
