I recently reached out to Travel Buggy while researching wheelchair options for my mom. I had many conversations with Robbie during which she provided information and videos (including one created specifically at my request) to assist in my decision making. I ultimately purchased a Travel Buggy GT. Travel Buggy’s 30-day return process took the stress out of ordering the chair knowing we’d have time to adequately ‘test’ it to be sure it would work. The GT is a fantastic chair. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet my mom’s specific needs so we needed to go in a different direction. The return shipping was quite a challenge, which had nothing to do with Travel Buggy. Rather, the challenges were with the carrier. After sharing this experience with Travel Buggy they, as a gesture of goodwill, charged us less than the amount of their normal return fee. This was very much appreciated. Having tried out the GT and experiencing the level of service I did, I know that Travel Buggy is a company I would return to in the future.

I made the best decision in February 2025 and purchased a Travel Buggy Aerolux. It is so lightweight because it is made of carbon fiber. it is easy for my husband to place in the back of our crv. It enables me to have freedom and get out and about. Joystick controller is a plus allowing easy turning. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing help in getting around.

Robbie was great. She answered all of my questions and more. She explained about the batteries and airline travel and gave me a few tips. The City 2+ wheelchair arrived in tact. It took minutes to unfold, insert the batteries, and attach the joystick. It's a powerful chair that takes upward inclines well at top speed and the battery lasts most of the day without needing a charge. The joy stick is sensitive so on flat surfaces and downward inclines I use a lower speed to keep control. The seat cushion is thick and very comfortable. We remove the seat cushion for maximum folding. Extending the arm rests is very easy. There are tutorials on Youtube to show how to do it. I am a large person and there is plenty of space between the arm rests even without expanding them. I did expand them to keep pressure off my hip as I just had replacement surgery. It comes with a nice pocket on the back, a shallow pocket underneath, and a water bottle holder. City 2+ is the perfect chair for me.
