About

Bloor Hearing Clinic is an independent, full-service audiology practice in Toronto offering personalized hearing assessments, hearing aids from multiple brands, ear wax removal, and tinnitus management to help seniors maintain clear communication and social engagement.

Senior Care Path Summary

Bloor Hearing Clinic, located at Bloor and Dufferin in Toronto, is led by Rebecca, a registered audiologist with a Master of Science degree and extensive experience in hospital audiology departments and cochlear implant centers. The clinic recognizes hearing loss as a critical health issue affecting seniors' cognitive function, social connection, and independence, and offers free hearing tests for seniors over 60.

The clinic provides comprehensive audiology services including thorough hearing assessments, personalized hearing aid selection and programming, professional ear wax removal, and tinnitus management, which is particularly important as tinnitus affects 15-20% of older adults. All hearing aids purchased include a three-year manufacturer's warranty, two years of loss and damage protection, and lifetime in-clinic services covering adjustments and repairs.

As an independent practice, Bloor prescribes hearing aids from all major manufacturers, including Signia, Phonak, ReSound, Oticon, Unitron, and Widex, without manufacturer bias. The clinic offers flexible payment plans and works with third-party insurance to improve affordability, with hearing aid costs ranging from $2,800 to $5,500 per pair after government funding through the Assistive Devices Program (ADP).

Bloor Hearing Clinic uses real ear measurement, the gold standard for hearing aid verification, to ensure accurate amplification. Patients receive hands-on training, regular follow-up support, and the option to trial hearing aids before purchasing to find the best fit for their lifestyle and hearing loss.

I’ve been having issues with my left ear for months, and my hunch was because of wax buildup, but i wasn’t sure. I contacted the team about this and they were flexible enough with scheduling the appointment and the services i may require. It turns out, it was wax buildup, and Hanine did my earwax removal. She kindly walked me through each step of the process so I knew what was coming. After the session, my ears were squeaky clean and I could hear so clearly! Thanks to Hanine and team for such a smooth experience!

Met with Rebecca today and wanted to write a very positive review.( typically don’t write reviews u less I am really impressed) Very nice clinic. Lovely space, feels very fresh. Met with Rebecca and she took the time to explain my hearing options ( I have been using a hearing aid for over 10 years) recommended a cross ( I only have hearing in one ear and provided a trial for both the single Oticon Zeal single and another manufacture’s cross. Very patient with me - I can ask a lot of questions and very ffrieldy and professional. Would highly recommend

Rebeca truly means business! I had a procedure done on my ear and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The entire process was quick, smooth, and very professional. I’m extremely satisfied with the results, and the prices were very reasonable. I 100% recommend her services!
