Had a terrible experience with this company. If I could give zero stars I would. 1st Experience: I rented a bath chair due to physical injury. On the day that they were supposed to pick up the chair, they called and gave me a time frame (1-3pm). This distribution company did not come during the time frame and wanted to charge me for not being present. I have security cameras which recorded the actual time and date that they came and sent it to the medical company that coordinates them. So they did not charge me. 2nd experience: Again, this distribution company is supposed to pick up the chair. This time they did not have the courtesy of calling for a time frame and expect us to wait for them all day. I called the company that coordinates them to give them my number to inform me of a time frame. The coordinating company said that they did give my number and that they should be calling me for the time frame. This distribution company never had the courtesy to call me the whole day. I know they had my number since they did call the first time. They also never showed up to pick up the chair so it was a NO SHOW. I waited for them all day and they never came. They were scheduled to pick up the chair but never came. I guess this distribution company is afraid of getting caught not doing their job properly (not giving a time frame and not coming at their time frame) or having the courtesy to inform their clients. Highly not recommend. I informed the company that coordinates them to not use them. This distribution company likes to charge people for not picking up. So it seems that's how they carry out their business and the medical companies that coordinate them have to keep re-booking for their products to be picked up. This distribution business is not genuine and lacks courtesy, respect and human decency for their clients.

We recently ordered a wheelchair from the company, and Mr. Richard Olwyn provided us with truly outstanding support throughout the entire process. His professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care made a significant difference, and we are extremely happy with the service we received. Richard guided us with patience and expertise, ensuring we chose the right product for our needs. It’s rare to encounter someone so dedicated to customer well‑being. We highly recommend working with this gentleman.

I just want to make people aware of the extremely disappointing experience my family had with medihealthplus. I tried repeatedly to contact the company’s CEO without success so am reprinting the letter here. Good Day Mr Samuels, I just wanted to give you some feedback on personal dealings my family has experienced with medplushealth at the Scarborough location. A few years back we had two straight handicare model 1100 chair lifts installed in our home. During installation and without prompting the Accessibility Solutions Manager, Ronny Wiskin offered the following information, “ should the time come when the equipment needed to be removed Medplushealth would buy it back and remove it.” Well Mr. Samuel’s that time has come. I’ve spent the last two weeks trying to reach someone at Medplushealth and I’ve left numerous messages for Ronny Wiskin. I was able to finally do that this morning when someone called me back. Ronny texted me asking who had made that statement to me when the lifts were being installed.? Why Ronny you did. Ronny then immediately denied having made the statement and said Medplushealth does not buy back or remove lifts that were purchased from Medplushealth and suggested I find someone on Facebook marketplace or Kijii to do this. In my calls around to the industry for some assistance it has become apparent to me that this is an unusual practice and generally speaking the company that installed the lift will come and remove it when requested to do so. Several companies expressed surprise at this practice but also seemed to be aware of your companies practice to distance themselves from lift removal. During my husbands illness we purchased many assistive devices for his mobility comfort from your company. Had I know of your company’s reluctance to remove the equipment we would have dealt with another company, but at the time were assured by Mr Wiskin that your company would be there when needed. Mr Samuels, I’m now faced with the very unpleasant task of having to pay for the lifts removal after being led to believe that it wouldn’t be an issue. At this point I’m not interested in receiving any monetary benefit from the lifts removal I would just like them removed. Mr Kenneth Tam Consumer Relations Manager with Savaria has been kind enough to provide me with some contacts for removal of the lifts which I’m following up with. I was a business owner for well over twenty years and welcomed direct feedback from customers regularly to help improve service. I am writing to you today as I feel if you are not already aware of this practice you should be. Respectfully Fran Stephen I would also add that once the lifts were installed we experienced ongoing problems. The lifts often failed and there was very slow response time by Medplushealth. There are better and more honest companies out there and I would urge consumers to do their research before doing business with this company. Ronnie Wiskin is an employee not to be trusted.
