  I highly recommend Cardinal Place ! my mother lived there and had the most wonderful care. The staff there are amazing and it feels like a big family there. Being a nurse, I have very high standards for care and Cardinal Place met them all. One day when I am older I would move there myself.

  It is sad to see how far this facility has fallen, care staff are overworked and management pressure the patients into using their in house pharmacy which delivers things late often. I have regularly heard the non medical staff talk poorly about the patients especially those in the Memory Care unit including in public spaces. The food choices are scarce and portions are incredibly small. The owner Mike Cardinal is incredibly rude. He screams at his staff when he is upset, lies and dodges communication, berates patients and speaks ill of past residents. Overall I would not send your parents here, the price is not worth the lack of humanity from those running it anymore. Edit: Basically they just filled the replies with lies, company speak to protect themselves. It is unfortunate they forget I have the entire situation documented where mike came out screaming at and berating me and the other employee. Which i was then told was a regular occurence by him as i walked out. The dog was in training as requested by the facility, and only barked at 2 individuals who had been caught physically aggravating the dog by poking it with their cane and rushing towards the less than 10 pound dog with their motor powered wheel chairs. When complaints were made staff did not document anything simply said they will handle it. You then with less than 30 days notice evicted an elderly disabled man and called the cops to have his dog seized. Of course youre gonna claim you did everything right while sharing private info that I did not even mention in this post.

  Cardinal Place recently served as a two-month, transitional residence between a hospital and a longterm care home for a dear loved-one. I wish it could have been longer. From the initial medical assessment, to the move-in, throughout the two-month residency, and then finally to moving on, the Care Team, the Administrative Team, and the other residents, have shown an exceptional level of professionalism, compassion, and just an overall dedication to respecting the individuality of each resident. And importantly, everything was handled the way I was told it would be from the outset. There is a genuine sense of comfort. It’s a place that feels like home. Even after such a short time, I found myself on a first-name basis with almost every single person I encountered during my visits, whether residents or staff. Mike Cardinal and his wonderful team have created something truly special here that I highly recommend to others who are looking for a caring, safe and respectful home for their own loved-ones.
