Cardinal Place recently served as a two-month, transitional residence between a hospital and a longterm care home for a dear loved-one. I wish it could have been longer. From the initial medical assessment, to the move-in, throughout the two-month residency, and then finally to moving on, the Care Team, the Administrative Team, and the other residents, have shown an exceptional level of professionalism, compassion, and just an overall dedication to respecting the individuality of each resident. And importantly, everything was handled the way I was told it would be from the outset. There is a genuine sense of comfort. It’s a place that feels like home. Even after such a short time, I found myself on a first-name basis with almost every single person I encountered during my visits, whether residents or staff. Mike Cardinal and his wonderful team have created something truly special here that I highly recommend to others who are looking for a caring, safe and respectful home for their own loved-ones.

My mother lived at Cardinal Place for five years before needing to move on to receive a higher level of care. All of the team were kind and caring, and the meals were nourishing. Special events at Christmas and other occasions were fun for the residents. Mike continues to improve the property regularly with a beautiful new pond and gardens for residents to enjoy outdoors. We were blessed to find this home when our mom needed care.

Cardinal Place is a true home for the members who live here. My mother loves it. She tells me this every time I am with her. I feel relief that she is with other people who care for and about her. My visits are now actual time with my mother and not time taking care of my mother. It felt like home from the first time I toured the building and it continues to feel the same.
