My mom was here for a year. From the very first day she and our family were welcomed warmly. The staff is amazing, starting with our first person of contact, Connie. Shelley at the front desk always went above and beyond to help us and Cheryl is wonderful also. A huge shout out to nurses, in no particular order, Claudine, Ginger, Wendy, Debbie and Parendeep ( apologies if spelled incorrectly) Also to all the night shift nurses whom I didnt have a chance to meet. Mom's needs were always met, every day. They always had a smile on their face and all were also willing to go above and beyond as well. The activities staff is also amazing, coordinating fun activities in the residence as well as outings mom enjoyed. Curtis is the maintenance manager and helped out at short notice a lot. Mom was coming from a large house and when I fist toured her suite I had no idea how the downsizing would go. Let me tell you that with her treasured belongings, everything fit nicely and looked wonderful. Mom said the food was fair. I always saw lots of variety on the menu.

My wife's parents lived at Oak Park Terrace for 2 1/2 years until they had to move into long-term care. We were quite happy with the support they received from the staff, who genuinely seemed to care about the well-being of their residents. My in-laws sometimes complained about the food, but that seems typical of all retirement homes.

My dad lived at Oak Park Terrace for 5 years. He was extremely resistant to move there. It took him less than a week to settle in, be comfortable and now states living at OPT is the best decision we've ever made! Thank you OPT!
