Our family is deeply grateful to the entire team at Evergreen House for the exceptional care they provided to our mother during her stay. Living with dementia is a difficult journey, but the staff treated her with patience, dignity, kindness, and genuine compassion every day. They always welcomed our family with smiles, listened to our concerns, and went above and beyond to make our mother feel comfortable—even learning a few Farsi words to communicate with her and brighten her day. Their support during her final months meant more to us than words can express. Evergreen became more than a care home; it became a community where we found friendship, support, and understanding from both staff and other families. Thank you to every member of the Evergreen team for the care, dedication, and humanity you showed our mother and our family. We will never forget it. – Saeid Salamatian and Family

This review is written on behalf of my mother (Pat Namdaran), as she is not comfortable setting up a Google account herself. My husband moved into Evergreen House in October 2025. After reading some of the reviews, I was initially concerned about him moving there. My daughter, who has worked in this industry for years, encouraged me to visit the home and make my own decision. From the outside, the building is older, similar to the older side of Lions Gate. Once inside, I had a positive feeling right away. The staff were welcoming, kind, and attentive, and I felt this would be a good fit for my husband. My husband lived there for just under three months before he passed away. The care he received was exceptional. If I could give more than five stars, I would. From the very first day we moved in, the staff were thoughtful and compassionate in everything they did. I carried a lot of guilt about bringing my husband into care, and they took the time to talk with me, reassure me, and make me feel supported. This was a very difficult time for our family. My husband was declining rapidly, and we did not always understand what was happening. The nursing staff patiently explained things to us and answered our questions. When the call bell was pressed, someone came. If my husband wanted an extra ice cream, it was brought with a smile. These staff have very demanding jobs, yet they showed up every day with kindness and genuine care for the people they care for. On the day my husband passed away, the staff were there with hugs and condolences, which meant more than I can put into words. The team at Evergreen is truly top-notch. My daughter, who works in healthcare and has experience with large organizations, commented every time she visited on how clean the home was and how engaged and caring the staff were. I did observe some family members being rude or demanding toward the care staff. I would simply say that what you put out is often what you receive back. A please and thank you go a long way. This is not one-to-one care, but the staff genuinely do their best every day & they are there when you need them. I want to express my sincere appreciation to all of the staff who cared for my husband and took the time to explain things to our family. I could mention a few names, but I worry I would forget someone. Please know that every person who helped my husband made a difference. They were truly amazing and among the very best.

Hi, my father was in Evergreen for around 3 years before he passed. During that time, we (mom and I) were very happy with his care. The staff were approachable and really listened. I realize that we are living in a time where health care resources are tight and I am very happy to say that during these challenging times, all the staff at Evergreen have really stepped up and are doing their best. A resounding Thank You!
