  Navigating complex medical needs like dialysis and dementia is incredibly challenging. Before coming here, I toured a few other long-term care homes, and what I saw was the very reason I was hesitant to place a family member. But from the moment I arrived at Humber Meadows Long Term Care Home, I was absolutely wowed by the level of detail and consideration. Most importantly, the family member was genuinely content here. He valued his privacy and the quiet atmosphere, yet he loved that he had the freedom to join multiple, diverse activities whenever he chose. He was surrounded by friendly staff members whom he truly trusted. The team here is caring, dedicated, and empathetic. The facility itself is consistently spotless, and the on-site dialysis clinic is top-of-the-line. What truly sets them apart is their proactive communication; the care teams are excellent at keeping me informed directly. I also highly appreciate having access to the online dashboard for tracking vitals seamlessly. As an added bonus for visitors, they have awesome security with a clear sign-in/out process that brings great peace of mind, as well as an ample parking lot with a very reasonable $5 fixed cost. The family member passed away peacefully in his sleep at Humber Meadows. I want to deeply thank the entire staff for giving him such a beautiful, dignified send-off. Your thoughtfulness, love, and support touched me beyond words. You supported our family from the very first day he arrived all the way through to his final moments. You don't just provide care; you truly became like a family to us. I am grateful all the way through. Thank you for giving our family such immense peace of mind. I cannot recommend Humber Meadows enough.

  I’m not sure who I spoke with, but she appeared to be the receptionist. Unfortunately, before I could even explain the purpose of my call, she assumed I was trying to sell something and repeatedly said, "We’re not interested." I found this quite disappointing. A simple courtesy of allowing someone to complete their sentence before making assumptions would have gone a long way. I was actually reaching out on behalf of a couple who were looking for long-term services. Based on this experience, I would be hesitant to recommend this facility to others. First impressions matter, and professional communication is an important part of client service.

  My father was a resident at Humber Meadows for about 2yrs. During this time, the staff, nursing, psw, etc delivered exceptional care with compassion and genuine concern for his well being. They gave me confidence knowing he was in safe and caring environment. I witnessed this level of care not only towards my father but every other resident there while I was there for just about 2 weeks straight around the clock by my father's side in his final days. Each staff member would come to see how my father was doing at the beginning of their shift, even those who were not assigned to my father. They really cared. For this my family and I will be eternally grateful.
