  I am writing this review with the help of staff because it is very important to me to share how wonderful this retirement home truly is. This is not just a place where I live-this is my forever home. From the moment you walk in, the staff truly make you feel that this is your home, and they remind us of that often, which means so much. We have access to many important services right here, including foot care and medical support. If there is ever a recommendation from a doctor, everything is arranged and taken care of within the home, which brings great peace of mind. If there is ever a staff shortage, Hayden, the Director of Wellness, is always available and steps in without hesitation to support residents. MaryAnn and other staff members do an excellent job of keeping families informed-whether something is happening, something has changed, or even when things are going well.During snowy weather or staff changes, residents are always kept informed, so we do not worry. The recent movie night was one of the best setups I have ever experienced. The movie was The Lion King, and it brought back so many wonderful memories for me. We received movie tickets, popcorn, and juice, and it truly felt like going out to a real movie theatre. If a resident asked for something additional, the staff always did their best to accommodate or provide it if available. Being able to request and choose which movie we would like to watch next is absolutely amazing. Pam, a PSW, and Corinne, the Team Lead, went above and beyond to help set everything up and ensure everyone was comfortable and happy. I also appreciate the everyday comforts that make this feel like home, such as having access to a resident fridge with snacks and refreshments at any time. If I ever need assistance, it is always availableMaryAnn is always approachable-and welcoming, with a true open-door policy; Jojo is kind, approachable, and easy to talk to; and Hayden is always available when needed. I feel comfortable going to anyone for help. I love that I can pop in to MaryAnn's office every morning just to say good morning, and she always welcomes it. I value the recreation board that clearly shows daily activities and events, as well as the many thoughtful touches that make daily life here so comfortable and reassuring. Anyone looking for a place to call home after retirement should strongly consider this community, as it truly is the best place to be.

  This review is long overdue. My mom’s health took a turn, and she could no longer stay at her previous retirement home. I had to quickly find affordable assisted living, and after visiting a couple of places, I knew Riverview Terrace was the right choice—something I will never regret. From day one, MaryAnn (Executive Director) and Hayden (Director of Wellness) made the entire transition easy, warm, and incredibly supportive. They run a tight ship and it shows—everything matters. My mom was welcomed immediately and truly made to feel at home. As a daughter, it was hard to step back and trust others with her care, but this team earned my trust quickly. The recreational team was always upbeat, encouraging, and wonderful at getting Mom involved in entertainment, games, and activities — which made such a difference in her day-to-day happiness. What impressed me most was how fast staff responded whenever my mom pressed her call pendant. Their protocols are exceptional and gave me such peace of mind. The nursing staff were always professional, attentive, compassionate, and even brought much-needed humour. Special thanks to Dana, Lisa, and Corrine. And heartfelt gratitude to PSWs Claudette, Laura, and Kaytee. This team’s quick actions saved my mom’s life at least twice. I will forever be grateful for the care, dedication, and compassion they showed her.

  My time with my Mom at Riverview was a wonderful experience, once Mom became Palliative they were all so attentive to her needs! Maryann and Hayden were always there to support and answer questions, thank you so much ❤️ Also PSW's were excellent in their care, thank you Claudette and Kaytee and Laura, all the PSW's were so attentive! Thank you to Dana, Corrinne and Lisa, Nurses at Riverview for youyexcellent care
