In my opinion, I do not recommend Malton Village Long-Term Care. It is not what it seems. Honestly, when you call, sometimes they even cut off the call, and the staff do not have the professionalism to handle the situation. Furthermore, things get lost, they do not take responsibility, and everything is charged extra. For example, haircuts, nail trimming, outings—everything is an additional cost, and it never drops below 150 dollars. In my case, if I had to choose again, I wouldn’t, and I regret bringing the person I love to that place.

As for getting there, directions have to be better by Google. Everybody will go to the apartment bldg before noticing the retirement home. Care is very nice, staff very friendly and helpful. My relayive wnjoys the care here. This may be because there aren't that many people stationed here compared to others in Toronto.

My Mom, Elizabeth Kontor, was lucky enough to get into this facility at the age of 91 where she spent 2 ½ years until she passed a year ago at the age of 94. The love and the care that she received from all the staff was wonderful. They were caring and attentive and they really looked after her throughout her stay. The place is clean, nice and bright, with big picture windows in the rooms, and lovely outdoor gardens. They have lots of various activities for the residents, and all are encouraged to participate. Six months after Mom passed, they had a memorial for everyone who passed within that period and all the family members who spoke about their loved one’s time at Malton Village had nothing but good to say about their experience, we all felt the same way. A great big thanks to all the wonderful caregivers who put their hearts and souls into looking after Mom and making her stay as comfortable as possible. Thanks for your selflessness and all that you do. With love and fond memories, Emesh Aube
