Centre de Santé Saint-Thomas was built by the francophone community of Edmonton to serve its aging French-speaking population. The facility provides services in both French and English whenever possible, with francophone culture prominently displayed throughout.

The building is designed for aging in place with a mix of accommodation types.

The facility offers 200 suites across multiple care levels: 101 supportive living suites, 40 memory care suites, and 59 independent living suites (30 market rental and 29 affordable housing suites).

Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides are on-site 24 hours daily, with access to additional services including recreation therapy, chaplaincy, social work, occupational therapy, and physical therapy through consultation with Alberta Health Services Case Managers.

The community features private suites with ensuite bathrooms and shower facilities, courtyards, garden areas, hair salon, dining facilities, and spa/tub rooms. WiFi is available throughout the building.

All meals are prepared on-site following Canada Food Guide standards and approved by a registered dietitian, with accommodation for special diets. Weekly housekeeping and linen service are included, as are daily social and recreational activities.
