  I completed my PSW placement at Villa Karuna, and it was a valuable learning experience. The staff were welcoming, supportive, and willing to teach students. I had the opportunity to develop my practical skills, gain confidence in providing resident care, and learn how to work as part of a healthcare team. The residents were wonderful, and the experience helped me better understand the responsibilities of a Personal Support Worker. I appreciate the guidance and support I received during my placement and would recommend Villa Karuna as a good learning environment for PSW students.

  I completed my 200hours of my PSW placement at *Villa Karuna Home for Seniors*, and it was a great experience that built my confidence and let me apply everything from the classroom into real-life care. During placement I had the opportunity to learn and practice the core activities a PSW should be able to do such as: 👉Assisting with bathing, showering, and bed baths while maintaining privacy and dignity 👉Supporting with oral care, hair care, and grooming 👉Assisting residents with walking, repositioning, and range-of-motion exercises 👉Responding appropriately to emergencies and reporting changes to the nurse 👉Assisting with feeding, Monitoring food and fluid intake and reporting concerns 👉Proper Communication & Emotional Support 👉Recognizing and responding to signs of pain, confusion, anxiety, and depression 👉Following proper hand hygiene and PPE use 👉Cleaning and disinfecting equipment and environment 👉Documentation & Teamwork This placement gave me real confidence in my abilities as a PSW. I was able to take what I learned in class and use it to support residents’ comfort, safety, and dignity every day. The staff at Villa Karuna were supportive, and I’m grateful for the chance to grow my skills in a professional, caring environment.

  We would like to sincerely thank Indrani, owner-operator of Villa Karuna, and her caring staff for the peaceful and compassionate care provided to our mom during her final days. Knowing she spent her last moments surrounded by warmth, gentleness, and kindness brought great comfort to our family.
