My wife and I use Sullivan Law for our legal needs. John is a very professional and affable person. He makes sure your needs are met in a timely fashion. His reception staff are also very courteous and professional.

I got help from the law firm for my first house purchase. Lessons I learnt the hard way (for first time home buyers) 1- Don't trust google reviews for legal services. Every situation is different . You may need an expensive lawyer when you deals with complicated real estates / independent small contractors. But if you are going to buy a new house from a big scale builder, all you need is the service of a paralegal in a lawyers office. coz your hired lawyer cannot do much against the builders heavy contract drafted by the best lawyers in the city. Either you could agree the contract or refuse, not much room for negotiation. You don't hear this fact from your lawyer (not all) until they charge you for negotiations which is only good for themselves. 2- Lawyers (not all) often make you scared of terms like purchase interest, status of title, and closing. which may prompt you to go on with expensive (300$/hr) but useless discussions. Discuss it with your realtor and mortgage specialist/ bank 3- You don't need an expensive lawyers expertise to receive documents like builders location certificate, zone memorandum and certificate of possession. All you need is apply online by yourself. 4- Prepare yourself. choose lawyer wisely. Ask friends/ family who recently done purchases with similar backgrounds. Price match options are available in some lawyers offices in the city. You could save up to 2 grand for the right decision. Remember even if you choose basic legal services , an unethical lawyer can always find ways to over charge you.
