Most of the staff are great. Definitely could be treated better, but none-the-less, almost every member of staff I have interacted with has been very pleasant. But, the new manager is awful. My loved one lives here - I am not going to name them as I want to respect their privacy - but during multiple of my visits I have overheard the new GM publicly disciplining staff in front of residents and other employees. As well as my loved one and I have heard her gossip and talk badly about residents in front of other residents - for example, using the phrase "beggars can't be choosers" talking about a resident at the home! Just all in all unprofessional and infuriating. I am looking into a new home for my loved one, because the most recent choices in general managers that this place has made is baffling, hence the high turnover rate in management. I would absolutely NOT recommend Lake Simcoe to anyone. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

We moved my Dad here 3 weeks ago and so far everything has been good. Carol was very accommodating and helpful to make the move go smoothly. My Dad seems to have settled in well at this point and seems to like the staff and food choices. Looking forward to the summer months. The services currently being received are good value for the dollar!

We had a tour at Lake Simcoe Retirement and the Sales Manager Carol is a true professional with a kind and empathetic approach. She took the time to understand our specific needs and went above and beyond to ensure my family felt comfortable and welcome which helped a lot in the confusion of preparing to make a difficult decision. It appears to be a very warm, friendlly and homey environment.
