My dad was in respite for a short while and he became a permanent resident for a couple of months. The care for him was awful and there was lack of communication between the staff and family members. I would not recommend Rubidge retirement home to anyone. Judy Collins

My father was in Rubidge for respite then as a permanent resident for 3 months. The care was not good, poor communication between care manager and family and extra paid outside help. The Rubidge manager was excellent when problems were brought to her attention, very quick to try and get answers. The woman on the front desk during the week was efficient, attentive and helpful. Can’t say the same for weekend staff. The activity director who’s been there for decades clearly loves his job and is a true gem. Having worked in long term care for several years I understand there are challenges but overall the residents need care and compassion and Rubidge is not somewhere I’d recommend.

Rubidge retirement home is the best retirement home in the city and I am not even exaggerating. The building looks really beautiful and captivating and the facilities of Rubidge were outstanding, plus the activities they prepare for their resident are phenomenal. The staff is the best, very professional and they really know what they are doing. I would highly recommend Rubidge Retirement home, your love ones would surely love it and they would surely be taking care of.
