  My brother moved into Sherbrooke Heights Retirement Home in November 2025. He’s been there 8 months now & loves it. I recently visited him & stayed with him for 3 weeks. I cannot say enough positives about the facilities & especially the staff. Sherbrooke Heights Retirement Home is very welcoming as soon as you enter to door. It has a lovely homey appeal. I cannot say enough about the staff; Alison Carey, General Manager, has done a superb job of hiring staff. All are super compassionate, friendly & helpful with residents. Many know the residents by name, share friendly banter back & forth. I do not believe you can teach an employee to be these things. Alison obviously hires for those qualities. Chef John & his staff do an excellent job providing healthy meals across a variety of cuisines, Asian, Mediterranean, North American, etc. Maintenance staff keep Sherbrooke Heights running smoothly. Laura, the Activities Co-Ordinator, plans an endless number of activities; some to help the residents, move, some to keep the grey matter moving & some just for laughs & socializing. All the staff, just too many to mention, are worth their weight in gold. In the 8 months my brother has been there, he has been very active in many activities, that he would never have dreamed of doing before. He is eating healthy nutrition foods. Our family can see the huge improvement in him. We often feel he is 10 years younger! Thank you to all the staff at Sherbrooke Heights Retirement Home.

  I was a widow in my house for 3 years after my dear husband passed away. I came to the time when I decided to come to Sherbrooke Heights. I am so happy to be relieved of all the stress of maintaining my house and all that goes with it. No cooking, no cleaning, beautiful grounds, staff always ready to help, activities, etc etc. love it here.

  My parents moved into Sherbrooke Heights in October for a three month trial, and it was an easy decision to stay on. They chose a one bedroom apartment with a balcony, which was perfect for them, but there are a variety of suite sizes and configurations so that anyone can find their perfect space. Housekeeping takes place once weekly, and it's lovely for guests have weekly linen changes and basic cleaning. In addition to maintaining individual apartments, the entire residence is always pleasantly clean and fresh looking. The dining experience is wonderful; meals are delicious, healthy and varied (and I've been fortunate to enjoy several while visiting!). The activity program is exceptional and there's something for everyone: movement programs, games and contests, arts and gardening clubs, weekly social get togethers, religious activities, outings and more. Finally, and without a doubt, it's the staff at Sherbrooke Heights that makes it such a wonderful place to be. Without exception I find that the staff, in all areas from management, to office staff, to housekeeping, to custodial, to food and dining, to programming and more, are amazing with the residents and visitors alike. Every interaction that I've had has been friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in ensuring the best experience possible for residents. All things considered, I'd highly recommend Sherbrooke Heights for seniors who want to live independently but within a lovely community.
