  The Dorchester Retirement/Supportive Living in Kelowna is a beautiful facility, with so much to offer... including fitness room, games room, theater, library, hair salon. The food is delicious- all made from scratch in their kitchen. Lots of activities and outings to keep you busy. The staff is so helpful and friendly. We can't thank Krista enough for all her help... from selecting a suite, to ensuring a smooth move in.

  Wow! This is how everyone should live the last years of their life. From the first moments meeting with Krista, I knew this was the perfect spot for the next stage of my mother's life. Krista has been with the facility since it's opening and with her vivacious, outgoing and helpful spirit, she is the heart of the Dorchester. I saw her offer her own coat to a resident headed outside! She is fun and high energy and always available to help or bring the positive spirit. The rooms are very lovely and quite spacious, the food is very good and offers a great variety of times for meals. This is the only place I found that offers everything included! Three meals a day (most places do not offer breakfast), telephone, internet, television, twice monthly cleaning and linen laundry, daily exercise, afternoon games, music entertainment, and there seems to always be a celebration of some sort going on with full decorations and themes. It truly is like living in an all inclusive Mexico resort, just not in Mexico!

  Navigating the transition from a hospital or rehab facility like Cottonwoods back to a safe living environment is an emotional challenge for any family. Fortunately, from our very first phone call, Krista at The Dorchester provided the warmth and reassurance we desperately needed. Her 26 years of expertise were evident as she took the time to find the ideal suite to ensure my stepmom felt both secure and at home. What sets The Dorchester apart from the broader health system is the remarkable consistency of its staff. Having familiar, friendly faces like Heather in housekeeping, or Diane—a delightfully warm server who memorized Mum’s dining preferences within twenty-four hours—makes a world of difference. Not to mention the amazing welcome basket waiting for her ❤️ The facilities are exceptional. Mum’s room is bright, immaculate, and recently updated, allowing us the freedom to personalize her space. (A work in progress from these Day 1 photos)Furthermore, the diverse menu, active social calendar, gym, on-site hairdresser, and courtesy bus have greatly eased this transition. We are incredibly grateful to the staff and residents alike for embracing Mum, honoring the independence she values, and fostering a true sense of community. Even in these early days, you have transformed a stressful situation into a comforting experience.
