  We had the pleasure of working with All Seniors Care Living Centres on a series of video projects, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. Throughout the process, they were collaborative, open to creative direction, and genuinely invested in telling meaningful stories. We’re proud of the work we created together and would welcome the opportunity to collaborate again in the future.

  Our Family’s Experience at Summit Heights Retirement Residence – A Cautionary Account Our elderly parents resided together on the Memory Care floor (both paying for full care) at Summit Heights Retirement Residence on Rymal Road East in Hannon, Ontario. It is deeply important to us to share our experience in the hope that other families will carefully consider their options before placing vulnerable loved ones in this facility. Although we were promised excellent care, the reality was alarmingly different. Many nurses and daily care providers consistently failed to meet even basic standards of care. Medications were not administered reliably, even when prescribed by our parents’ physician, soiled bedding was often left unchanged, waste bins were allowed to overflow until we pointed it out, and assistance to and from the dining room was inconsistent at best. Scheduled laundry was regularly missed. One of us visited nearly every day out of a growing concern, and eventually, we felt compelled to install a camera in our parents’ suite — not out of paranoia, but out of necessity. We had to ensure their comfort and safety. We could no longer rely on verbal assurances that their basic needs were being met. Despite having video evidence that medication was not administered according to physicians’ orders, the Care Director and leadership refused to accept responsibility. This points to a broader, more troubling issue: a complete lack of accountability within the management and administrative team. While they claimed resident care and comfort were their highest priority, their actions told a very different story. To their credit, management was always willing to meet with us. They listened, took notes, and made promises. But those promises were rarely kept. Despite our continued efforts — always respectful, but increasingly urgent — our concerns went unaddressed. They were dismissed or deflected. The systemic issues, whether due to poor training or staff indifference, remained unchanged. We want to acknowledge that not all staff on the unit were negligent, but again it is a systemic problem, not an isolated one. Through conversations, we learned that other families were also experiencing serious concerns. Our family shares this story with no bitterness, only the sincere hope that it spares others from going through what we did. Vulnerable seniors deserve better. They deserve reliable, consistent, compassionate and professional care ... and the families who love and advocate for them deserve transparency and trust.

  Horrible company. Owners should be ashamed of themselves for what they do and how they treat staff, residents, and residents families.
