I just want to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the care my aunt received at Amica. Although her stay was short, the team provided exceptional support and compassion every step of the way. The PSWs were incredibly kind and attentive, always ensuring my aunt was comfortable while also keeping me informed about her care and well-being. That level of communication meant a great deal to me during a difficult time. One team member, in particular, truly stood out—Marina. As a Resident Care Partner, she went above and beyond every single day. Her kindness, dedication, and genuine compassion made a lasting impact on both my aunt and myself. Anyone in her care is truly fortunate. Thank you to the entire team for making such a difference.

I highly recommend considering alternatives, as Amica Taunton seems more concerned with business than with the residents’ well‑being. For the monthly price I would expect that my mom, who needed a lot of care, would be treated with dignity. This was not the case. The sales process was smooth, but the quality of care after my mom moved in was extremely disappointing. She was bed ridden and couldn’t get her morning coffee before 9am, response times to call buttons were slow, and requests for things to make my mom comfortable were delayed until morning. Some amenities we were told about weren’t available, and follow‑up on services like hair and nails was inconsistent. These issues were raised with management in writing, with no positive changes afterwards. Finally, when I informed staff that my mom would not be returning, they failed to initiate the 30‑day notice, which delayed the process and cost us more money. When the process did begin, the response felt cold and focused on the loss of revenue. The process also took months and required multiple follow ups on our part.

It's well appointed but the rooms are woefully tiny and extremely costly. The owners 'philosophy':is nonsense. It's all about squeezing as many tiny rooms, with almost no room for visitors, into the building as possible to maximize profits. I've visited several such places to compare.
