I had a wonderful experience completing my placement at Chartwell Conservatory Pond Retirement Residence as an Office Administration student. The environment was welcoming and supportive, and I gained valuable experience. A special thank you to Ashley Drinka and Piper Scott for their kindness, guidance, and support throughout my placement.

When mom moved into Chartwell Conservatory Pond, she was already living with dementia, and I knew finding the right place would be incredibly important. I spent a lot of time researching and visiting retirement homes in and around Kingston, and Conservatory Pond stood out for its range of services — especially having a full-time nurse available, which gave me real peace of mind. From the very beginning and throughout the 21 months she lived there, the care she received went far beyond what I expected from an independent living residence. The staff consistently showed kindness, patience, and genuine compassion. The dining and kitchen team were especially wonderful plus the food was great. Anyone who has a loved one with dementia knows how challenging mealtimes can be, but they took the time to ensure my mom was comfortable and well-fed, always treating her with dignity, care, and frozen yoghurt. Every employee, from the front desk to Bob the Builder were equally incredible — always friendly, attentive, and truly invested in the well-being of the residents. My mom was not only well cared for, but also genuinely liked and valued as a person. In her final months, while waiting for long-term care, the staff went above and beyond to support her needs. Knowing she was in such capable and compassionate hands meant the world. I’m deeply grateful to everyone at Conservatory Pond for the care, respect, and kindness they showed my mom. It made a difficult journey much easier, and I will never forget that.

My sister in law has lived at Chartwell Conservatory Pond for 14 months now, I can’t say enough positive things about her experience there. The staff are truly dedicated to making your love one fit in and become part of the Chartwell family. What makes Chartwell stand out in comparison to other retirement homes is the excellent caring and dedicated staff, many who have worked there for many years. ( 10-20 years). Shakiara who is the Health and Wellness manager I just want to say how much I appreciate all your hard work and dedication, your work ethics always goes above and beyond. All staff members are kind and wonderful people to deal with always eager to please. Chartwell is a little pricey however for anyone who can afford to live there, it is a great place, your love one will be greatly taking care of.
