  My mom lives at this retirement home, and recently they allowed us (my fiance and I) to use their chapel for a small, intimate wedding so she could be part of such an important day. What they did for us went far beyond anything we expected. The staff beautifully decorated the chapel as a surprise, creating such a warm and special setting. Staff and residents came to celebrate with us, offering hugs, kind words, heartfelt advice, and genuine joy. I was told some staff even came in on their day off, which speaks volumes about the kind of people they are. Everyone doted over my mom and made her feel over-the-moon special, which was the part for me that really tugged at my heart strings. I was thanked by many staff and residents for including them in our special day, but truly, it is me who should be thanking them. They gave us a memory I will treasure for the rest of my life and helped make sure my mom could be part of something so meaningful. This was more than kindness or good service. It was love, community, and compassion. We are forever grateful for this experience from the Chartwell team and residents.

  My brother has been living at the Chartwell Empress Kanata for 15 months. It was a difficult transition for him as he has lived alone in his own home for 40 years. All of the staff have been cheerful, friendly and helpful. He enjoys the meals, the afternoon social gatherings, and the outings on the mini bus. These activities help to build a community for the residents where they make friends and feel welcome. The staff are good about answering any of my questions or concerns. Thank you to all the staff for caring for and helping my brother make the transition to living at the Empress.

The sense of community at Chartwell Kanata Empress is heartwarming—both staff and fellow residents create a welcoming and friendly environment. Knowing my dad is in a place where he is well cared for and supported gives our family peace of mind.
