  Dear Chartwell Staff, When we were deciding whether or not to move back to Alberta to be closer to family, Hank made it clear he didn’t want to leave Vancouver Island. “Go back to the cold, no way!” but he did it for me. We wanted a similar living situation to what we had at Origin in Nanaimo. Our kids found Wescott and it had everything we needed so Wescott it was and we were happy it was our new home. We had to do a couple of moves here (guest suite to a one bedroom suite, and then to a two bedroom), but everyone was very accommodating to us and our family during these moves. We have been welcomed with open arms, and we have made many friends. I really wanted to make sure that the Chartwell Wescott staff were aware of how much I have appreciated each and every one of them since I have moved in, especially since the last few months, as they have taken a toll on me and my family. My daughter and son-in-law have helped us daily with appointments and such, but we still needed more. The excellent care from the nurses in Memory Care, the wonderful Housekeeping staff coming in to help me when I needed the extra hands, and let’s not forget the extra special attention from the dining and kitchen staff for Hank(it made him feel really special). In fact ALL the Chartwell Wescott staff have been so very wonderful and caring. The love of my life was treated so well and taken care of in his final moments. I just wanted to make sure that all the Wescott staff know how much they helped make his final days full of love! If you are looking for yourself or a loved one, Chartwell Wescott is truly an amazing place to call home.

  I never thought I would be able to live in such a Fantastic Place in my life. This new home I have has absolutely everything I could imagine. The amenities here should be able to satisfy anyone. When it comes to All the Staff, I have never been treated with such Friendliness, Caring, Totally Helpful, and Completely Accommodating to Your Any Needs. The meals and service are First Rate by far. I feel that these meals and the service could be matched up against any restaurant in the City as far as I'm concerned. Every day I'm here I am more amazed then the day before how I am treated so wonderful. Any thing I could possibly ask is always dealt with so quickly and efficiently. I just love the entire Staff here completely. All so hard working people in All areas to allow me to have such a Very Comfortable and Content final years that I could never even dreamed of. my Friend the Head Chef and All His Wonderful Chefs and Assistants. All the Fantastic People who work so hard to serve all of us in a First Class Restaurant just for us. The Very Special Office and Desk Staff who are All so willing to Help to the Utmost in anyway possible. They are always available to talk to You and to ask them anything with in their power and above to try to keep You satisfied. All the Maintenance and Cleaning Staff are Always working hard to keep entire building and private rooms spic and span with such a cherry way. I feel so lucky to call all of every Staff Members my Dear Friends through out the entire building. Most of the people living here are so Very Friendly which means a lot when a person is aging. It gives You the feeling of belonging especially when You might not have many family members. For me these people and all staff are my family and I feel so Blessed. I really hope that I can be able to stay right here until they skid me out feet first to make room for some other lucky person. I have tried to relate my true feelings about this Wonderful Place. The Best thing anyone can do is sign up for the Absolutely Free Tour by Experienced Guide and Fabulous Meal and if there is availability while You're there, You may do the same thing I did and cut a check for the room I saw right off beside all amenities here too numerous to mention. See for Yourself what a life You can have. I will never regret it myself.

  My dad moved in about three months ago, and he has been really enjoying his time here. He’s staying active with the activities, appreciating the companionship, and often talks about how much he enjoys the food. It’s been comforting for our family to see him so settled and happy. We’re very grateful to the staff for their kindness, professionalism, and the care they show every day. Highly recommend.
