I have nothing by wonderful things to say about this retirement community! My mother is not the easiest person to find a retirement home for and usually leaves the premises immediately. We have tried many other homes in kingston and every single one she states she is unhappy with. Dealing with my mom is not easy and at her age of 83 finding her a spot she is comfortable at is essential. Right at the moment we decided to send her to kingsbridge we have had such a wonderful time and the staff has been nothing but accommodating and welcoming. My mother loves it here and we always have such a positive experience with the staff when we go to visit her. I recommend this retirement community to anyone who is thinking about sending a loved one here I have nothing but good things to say!

I am normally not one to give negative comments but in this instance I do feel it is important to share as I know how much our family depended on reviews and word of mouth in deciding on a Retirement Home for our Dad. My father moved in to Kingsbridge several years ago and honestly it was really great for many of those years! The facility, the staff, activities, everything and we DID highly recommended it. However, in the past year, it has changed dramatically! Constant staff turnover, lack of cleanliness, activities (depending on where you are) but most of all the care for the residents most especially in Assisted Care (2nd floor) was absolutely horrible! Dad went through so much there - everything from not getting his proper meds for a week, having a fall (laying on the floor because no one was there to help until an ambulance was called to help get him off the floor in the middle of the night), unsanitary conditions, bleeding and laying in bloody bedding not being changed etc etc. I could go on and on…. Yes, yes, in the last several months we called/emailed nurses, Director of Care and even the new Executive Director. We asked and they even physically attended his room to see the conditions we were talking about! At the time, they stated it was not acceptable. It was cleaned in the very short term but sadly it did not change. Our father just spent most of his day saying he wanted to go to heaven and laying in his bed extremely depressed and wanting to die. I know talking to others (or family members or support staff) in the same facility, he was/is not alone. Dad is thriving in his new environment and more active and independent the has been for years. Families, please do your due diligence before placing your loved ones in any Retirement Home. There are still some fantastic staff there of course but unless your family member is 💯 independent and are able to advocate for themselves, be careful. Kingsbridge Retirement Community, I truly hope you get your act together and put ALL your residents first!

My sister just moved out of this facility so I will speak freely. Her experience in assisted living was a bit of a nightmare if I am honest. I spoke to many people about the problems she encountered while there and they made promises things would change but the didn’t. All 3 meals each day was cold. Trying to get someone to come to her room took for ever. The nighttime staff did not understand English. Trying to make them understand where her clothes were was a half hour episode every night. She was exhausted after trying to explain where her clothes were in her room and they just didn’t get it. Oh and did I mention that she paid $7,000 a month for this care, totally unacceptable. I would never recommend Kingsbridge to anyone who cares about their loved .
