As retirement homes go, Sunrise is all about the care and the staff. Staff are caring and attentive and will go out of their way to help residents. This Sunrise location tends to host handicapped residents further down the dementia journey. It's similar to a long term care facility but very expensive. Ironically there is limited handicapped parking and the dining room has yet to be set up to accommodate tilting wheel chairs, leaving residents a long way from the small tables. The facility is clean and maintained mostly, but it needs a renovation. Common areas are a little to cozy - there's not a lot of space. Resident room's windows don't work as they should and some rooms share thermostats so of course there can be temperature conflicts. It's all about great staff and care here. Staff are long term, and they work great as a team. Sunrise is a US chain, so it's readily apparent it's all about making money! Management do the best they can but are not empowered to make the changes that need to happen.

My husband was a recent resident of Sunrise Senior Living, Mississauga. My family, and I, will always be grateful for the exceptional, compassionate care he received, both medically and personally. It allowed his final months to be lived with dignity, respect and comfort. The staff were always so friendly and attentive to his needs, he was cared for with such kindness and professionalism. His declining health was difficult for him, myself, and the family, yet we felt well supported and cared for too. They continually reached out to us with encouragement, warmth and compassion, making a difficult journey easier to bear. The medical team, led by Dr. Hamboyan are exceptional! They were always willing to meet with us to better understand his increasing health challenges and took the time to listen to our concerns with patience. We couldn’t have made a better decision than Sunrise, Mississauga, it surpassed all of our expectations!

My great grandmother has been a resident at Sunrise for the past 2 years and the accommodations and team members are great! She always speaks highly of the staff, and they are always very welcoming and friendly when I visit.
