*PLEASE READ BEFORE “DONATING”* Rather than providing the family of a loved one who recently passed with respect and dignity, Jill (a staff member at Viva Thornhill Woods) decided to mislead my family into believing that the items left behind would be donated. It has become clear that they do not believe in donations. ESPECIALLY once you ask for a tax receipt! This donation very quickly became a gift and it was agreed-upon in writing at the beginning that it was to be donated. They lie! They are now not giving back the more expensive items that we wanted to donate to the community and to those in need. An absolutely horrible place to send your loved ones to, especially for their end of life care! Please do not hesitate to contact me directly for copies of emails and proof that this has been done! They will gladly be provided.

I got to visit VIVA Thornhill Woods for the RHRA Resident Champion Award ceremony. I loved community feel and the warm atmosphere. I had the chance to go for a tour and was impressed by the diversity of spaces in the home - from the pub and cafe, to the horticulture room and theatre, to the pool and gym.

We had the pleasure of working with Viva Retirement Community to assist with moves for some of their residents, as well as participate in their annual Season of Lights event. From start to finish, Jill and the team at Viva has been outstanding, They are organized, welcoming, and genuinely care about their residents’ needs. It’s always a joy to collaborate with a community that values both comfort and connection for its residents, and Viva goes above and beyond to create a warm and supportive environment. Their staff made every interaction smooth and enjoyable, and it’s clear they truly prioritize the well-being of everyone who calls Viva home. We look forward to continuing our partnership and being part of more wonderful events with them in the future!
