I live in Southern Ontario and own a 2.5 acre home in a rural area. Recently I had thoracic back surgery and was provided a list of companies to source a walker/rollator. I was lucky to be able to borrow an Evolution 4 wheel walker prior to purchasing one and it was truly a eye-opener. Despite the fact that I was given the impression of freedom, I did not find that this walker suited my needs. My rural road is in very bad shape and I have a gravel driveway that is almost 300 feet long. Even with a dusting of snow, I felt challenged and dejected. If only I could find a walker with pneumatic wheels, I could perhaps get the freedom I was looking for. That is when I came across Trionic, where on their website I saw a video that gave me hope. People were navigating through sand, snow and rocky terrain. This is what I was looking for. I settled on the Veloped Sport 14er M, hoping that it would allow me to get back to the active lifestyle I had grown accustomed to. Well it arrived yesterday and I have already logged 11,000 steps with it! I can easily navigate my driveway, roll it onto my grass, up the embankment all with ease. Taking it down my street no longer pains my arms from the horrible vibrations I experienced with the Evolution. Although it is slightly larger than the Evolution, ease of removing the tires makes it pack up nicely in my little Nissan Micra. I no longer fear the snowfalls and we plan on taking it on a nature trail tomorrow. I am beyond pleased and everyone at Trionic made this purchase the best thing I've ever done. Also I love that I can claim it on my insurance as it is a Class I Medical Device.
