I can’t speak for the building as it was well taken care of and the other wards and staff seemed great. This review is for the hidden treasures ward. My father was here for about 3 years, in that time there was many occasions we arrived to the room he was in absolutely filthy. His bedding was soaked in drool and sweat so badly it stained the sheets. There was times we arrived to him not having showered for a week. The smell of his room was appauling and the window was never opened. In fact the hardware handle to open it was always missing and never aired out. The nightstand had cups stuck in old juice to it. The bathroom had feces on the walls and the floors sticky with urine . Everytime we went the bathroom floor was sticky. We had asked many times that he eat out with everyone else, but were told he was sleeping.. often he would miss meals. I understand he could be difficult at times especially with hygiene, but he is now ina place that has no trouble dealing with any of that. He doesn’t miss any meals and is taken out to eat. We had things go missing including clothing and a brand new razor. He deteriorated a lot in his time at hidden treasures.

I am so incredibly grateful for the hard work and care provided by the staff at Lifestyle options Whitemud. While dementia sucks, having a good care team who handle challenges with love and humour makes it a bit more tolerable. I rest easy knowing my Dad is well cared for and I enjoy coming to visit my dad here, joining in on Karaoke nights or just hanging out in the bright friendly space. I can tell that the whole team from from the front line to the office staff work hard to make it a good place to be.

This place us beautiful inside and out. The staff are very friendly. Lots of activities for the residents. The meals look and smell delicious. The options are amazing!
