My friend moved into the Westwood this year. It's is a beautiful building right on Carling Avenue. I visited her this weekend and the staff seemed very kind. I really liked the dinning room and the big fish tank in the lounge. My husband and I have been looking for a place to move into with more care ever since his hip operation. Unfortunately while visiting I had a bad experience with one of the nurses, Helen. She was rude when I asked about the prices. Besides that experience, everyone was great

The Westwood Retirement Home’s Memory Care Program is excellent. The home is clean and attractive. The staff are really knowledgeable, skilled, professional, fun, and friendly. The Directors of Care are responsive to my calls/emails, and I always feel listened to and respected. The care team is very collaborative, even having family meetings by phone as I live far away. I know my aunt is in great hands there. It gives us peace of mind that she’s happy! Initially she went there for a short term respite stay in a furnished suite after being discharged from hospital, and then wanted to make it permanent and moved in full time. I highly recommend this place.

The Westwood staff treated my father Doug like family on a daily basis and provided attentive care when he felt unwell.They have a lovely garden/patio, on site hairdresser, a piano lounge, and nice home cooked meals. The nursing and PSW staff demonstrated exceptional kindness and empathy in their care. Thank you.
