  A while back, when the doctor told us Mom needed more support and that assisted living would be necessary for her health, everyone was reluctant, especially Mom. With my sister and I both living away, we knew that it would be a challenging transition.. The first week she was there, I asked her how she is doing, and (deep down I was expecting the worst.) She replied, "Great... everyone is really nice and I feel well taken care of". I remember the sigh of relief that she was okay and that she transitioned well. Fast forward to April, when I visited for her birthday, I was so impressed with the facility, the gym, the activities, and the sense of community she was part of. In the last two weeks, I can clearly see how much the staff has embraced her; they greet her with a smile, warmth, hugs, inside jokes and a genuine love for her that goes beyond their professional duties. She is eating solid foods, has gained some healthy weight and looks better than ever. I believe her improvement is largely due to the anxiety that Forest Hills Place has removed, as she is regaining her appetite. As I leave to return to Texas, it gives me a huge sense of peace and confidence that she is in your staff's care and I leave with a heart full of gratitude and hope. For that I will always be grateful.

  The roof top heating and air system is so bloody loud; no idea how the senior residents living here endure it. One would need to keep their windows closed to shut out the noise.

  I’ve been here almost a year and have found everybody very friendly and kind and the staff are all very helpful. I I find there’s lots of different things to do activities and lectures and trips Just like a resort or cruise ship on land. This place feels like a warm and loving home I’m proud to be part of.
