Though we did not move my parents to Venvi Riverbend (they do not have two bedroom suites - essential for my parents), our experience seeking independent retirement living at Riverbend Venvi was stellar. Liz Haskins, the Lifestyle Consultant, was incredibly gracious, patient and took the time to get to know my parents. She explained the benefits of independent living to my parents, who were not convinced about leaving their house of 58 years. Once Liz understood who they were and what their worries were, she showed us the facility and tailored our tour to the interests of my parents. We have looked at several other retirement communities since and NONE of them took that time to get to know my parents. The facility has a comfortable, homey feel, both indoors and outdoors. Highly recommend Riverbend Venvi and you should definitely include it in your search for Independent Living facilities in South Edmonton.

Let me tell you something—if you gotta find a place for your mum and trust me, I love my mum… this is the place. Venvi Riverbend Retirement? More like Venvi River-best. From the second we walked in, it smelled like fresh cookies… or maybe that was just me imagining snacks, but either way—delicious vibes. The staff were so nice I almost thought they were trying to sell me something… but nope, they’re just that friendly, from Anmol, Liz, Stephanie, Carmela, Kike & all the rest. The place has everything and they’ve got activities for everything—games, social stuff, probably even napping competitions. My mum’s gonna be living it up like she’s on permanent vacation while I’m at home trying to figure out how the toaster works again. And the food? If it’s half as good as it smells, I might “visit” every day around dinner time. Purely for emotional support, of course. Bottom line: safe, cozy, friendly, and full of life. If my mum’s happy, I’m happy. And if I’m happy… I’m probably eating. Five donuts out of five. 🍩

Great facility, Mom was there for about 3years and was very happy. Staff is excellent, very friendly and always happy to see the residents. Knowing how well the staff take care of the seniors was such a relief, my family was very pleased with everything. Would recommend to any one needing a safe, clean and happy place to stay.
