  As a coordinator who has clients living at St. Bernard’s Retirement Residence, I can confidently say it’s a truly exceptional place for seniors. The atmosphere is warm and community-oriented — a refreshing change from the corporate feel that many retirement homes have today. The Sisters of the Precious Blood are incredibly kind and present, bringing a real sense of care and spirituality to the residence. The nursing staff are attentive, professional, and always proactive in communicating important updates. My clients and their families consistently feel supported and well-informed. The residence recently underwent renovations, making it even more comfortable and inviting. There's a beautiful chapel on-site with daily Mass, which many residents cherish. The annual family BBQ is always a highlight and just one example of the thoughtful, community-building activities that are regularly offered. What stands out most is the hands-on, approachable management. It's clear that everyone here is committed to creating a safe, caring, and enriching environment for the elderly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend St. Bernard’s to any family seeking quality care for their loved one. I would like to thank the management, the staff, and the Sisters for creating such a wonderful environment to live in at such a vulnerable time in a persons life.

  We were invited by one of the residents to a barbecue that was hosted by St. Bernard's today, and was very disappointed with the way the staff treated us! Firstly, the lady Pearl gave such an attitude when we were just requesting what we wanted to eat. Secondly another staff member, and I won't mention her name, came behind me and pulled me by the shirt and told me "don't stand here, the manager doesn't like it!", and I replied "Why? I'm not doing anything wrong, I'm not going to spit on the food!" She literally made me feel like I was dirty and full of germs, and at that point I felt so offended. I couldn't understand this because I was standing in the line like everyone else but she only came and pointed me out like she had something against me. And lastly the fact is that they kept telling us that the manager is there, over and over really was something out of the ordinary. And all we were doing was just standing in line waiting for food like everyone else. Why are they telling us that the manager is there? We are not doing anything wrong and furthermore we are not employees of St. Bernard's, so what was the point to tell us the manager is there? They are the employees of St. Bernard's, and they are the ones who should tell themselves the manager is there, not to the guests! So treat guests with respect and be more professional. Will never attend again!!
